Students may transfer to pg电子下载 State University from a regionally accredited community, junior or senior colleges for any period of enrollment, provided they have earned a 2.0 GPA on all college courses attempted*, as well as earned a 2.0 GPA on the 30-hours of core courses. Applicants must list all colleges attended on the application for admission, must be in good standing with the last college or university attended, and must meet one of the following options for admission.
- Complete the 30-hours of core courses listed below with a 2.0 GPA on those courses and earn an overall 2.0 GPA on all hours attempted*
- English Composition – 6 semester hours
- College Algebra, Quantitative Reasoning, or a higher-level math – 3 semester hours
- Natural Science – 6 semester hours
- Humanities and Fine Arts – 9 semester hours
- Social or Behavioral Sciences – 6 semester hours, or
- Earn an A.A. degree (associate in art) or a higher degree from a regionally accredited community, junior, or senior college with a 2.0 GPA*, or
- Meet the requirements for entering freshmen (based on your ACT/SAT scores and high school transcript) and earn an overall 2.0 GPA on all hours attempted*

Evaluation of Credits
The Dean of General College, along with the department chairperson to which the student has been admitted, determines courses that can be accepted in the degree program. Students will not receive transfer credit for the courses designed specifically for technical and vocational career programs, or remedial programs. Students transferring from one of the Mississippi public community colleges and following the 64-hour CORE approved by the eight state universities will receive complete credit for the courses outlined in that 64-hour CORE.
The department chairperson to which the application is submitted determines the way previously earned credits will apply in the degree program. Students ordinarily receive no transfer credit for courses designed specifically for technical and vocational career programs, or remedial programs.
Once admitted to the university, a student must obtain written approval of his/her department chairperson before taking courses at another institution with the intention of transferring credits toward an pg电子下载 State University degree.
